Expert Q&A

My girlfriend's sex drive is in park. She is 3-1/2 months along and she never really wants to be intimate. She says she's not in the mood. Also is it safe to have intercourse this early and if so when should we stop (that's if she ever comes around).
Your girlfriend's "parked" sex drive is normal at this stage of pregnancy and her desire will probably return after 16-18 weeks of pregnancy, at which time you may be asking for a break since many women have heightened sex drives in the second trimester. (That has to do with hormones and is not related to the sex of the baby.)
As to safety, unless the pregnancy is complicated, there is no reason to stop having intercourse.
