How do you know if your prescription has expired? My prescription skin cream has turned orange. Does that mean it?s not working anymore?
Sometimes pharmacies will print an expiration date on the label of your prescription. If they don't, a good rule of thumb is a year after you filled the prescription.
With creams and ointments the expiration date is often stamped in the crimp of the tube. Because there is a color change in your cream, it's probably expired and should be discarded."
