Gift-giving Ideas for the New Mom

Jennifer from Texas says that "one of the best gifts I received in the hospital was a beautiful new cotton robe and gown. Since our first baby was a month early, I had not yet shopped for something 'pretty' for myself to wear in the hospital. It was a treat to have a fresh robe for the hospital and especially at home. Since you spend half your day or more in your robe and jammies, it's a perfect gift!"

Books also always make thoughtful gifts. Pick ones that Mom can read to the new baby and highlight the special bond between mothers and babies. Favorites include:
