Another great new mommy gift is a gift certificate from her favorite day spa. Treat her to a massage, facial, body treatment and/or pedicure. Most likely she will not have time to do it all at once (especially if she is nursing), so consider purchasing separate gift certificates for each service you would like to include. New moms often wonder when and how they will find the time to pamper themselves, but it is your job to help her make the time. You need some bonding time with your baby, and your wife needs to get out of the house. Teresa McKee, from Elizabeth Arden in New York, recommends their Red Door Beauty Break. It includes a shampoo and style, warm cream manicure and makeup application. "It's the perfect little pick-me-up, but doesn't take you away from your baby all day," says McKee. There are a lot of options for other services at The Elizabeth Arden Red Door Salon & Spa, and according to McKee, "We really like to work with new dads to customize the perfect gift."
Other Unique Gifts
Elizabeth from Massachusetts was surprised by her husband with a comfortable rocking chair for her and baby. Her husband ordered it from Pottery Barn and had it delivered to their home while she was in the hospital. Want to see more?
