What's For Dinner?
Recipe for a Happy Father's Day By Allison H. McAlister

Some men may claim that they enjoy cooking out on Father's Day, but I don't buy it. I mean, do mothers long to slave over a hot stove on Mother's Day? I don't think so. Instead of allowing the fathers to grill out this year, let them sit back and relax while we take care of all the cooking on their special day.
Since the majority of men probably can be described as "meat and potatoes" types, I've chosen a menu that should be a hit with most fathers. We'll start with a main course of what my husband describes as the best meatloaf he's ever eaten, my Five-Star Meatloaf. Now that we've got the meat, we'll need some potatoes to go with it. I don't know about you, but I like mashed potatoes with my meatloaf. This occasion calls for spruced up Cheesy Mashed Potatoes. A green vegetable alongside would be nice, so let's make one of my family's favorite veggie side dishes called Italian Green Beans. To top off this wonderful dinner, I chose my husband's favorite dessert, Blueberry Dump Cake.
It's a simple yet delicious menu to show Dad how much you care. You know the old saying: The way to a man's heart is through his stomach!
Happy Father's Day!
Five-Star Meatloaf
I've never been a huge fan of meatloaf. My mother used to make hers with carrots and celery in it, and I really didn't care for it. My late father-in-law made his with onions, green peppers and mushrooms in it, and I liked it, but meatloaf still wasn't one of my favorite meals. Well, now that I've found this scrumptious meatloaf recipe, call me a convert. There's flavor bursting in every bite, not just around the edges where the sauce can usually be found. The meat comes out so moist and tastes so sweet and yummy. I am now an official meatloaf lover.
