What's Your Holiday Health Attitude?

By Shel Franco

Pages:  1  2

Maybe it's Uncle Bob's whiskey slush or Aunt Ginny's sumptuous cheesecake. Whatever your holiday overindulgence might be, it's time to fess up. Should the healthy quotient of your holidays make you pout or party? Take this humorous quiz to find out.

1. It wouldn't be a holiday party without platters of cookies. Fortunately for you:

a. There are always lots of leftovers that you can eat on the way home!
b. Just one makes you bloated. You avoid the dessert table like the plague.
c. Keeping the kids in line affords you little time for sitting around the table, picking at all the "sinful" sweets.
2. You can see the yellow haze of butter floating on top of your mother-in-law's mashed potatoes. When she passes the bowl around for seconds, you:

a. Leave little if any for the others.
b. Berate her for not using low-fat margarine instead.
c. Smile graciously and add, "They're so delicious, but I'm too full."
3. Your sister announces that dinner will be delayed another 20 minutes. Before the main course is served, you:

a. Think, "Yes! More time to fill up on cookies and wine."
b. Sneak downstairs and grab 15 minutes on the treadmill.
c. Fight the hunger with frequent trips to the vegetable platter.
