5. Call Mom during the lunch hour and suggest pizza be delivered for dinner.
Oh, what a feeling! A fresh, hot meal and Mom didn't have to cook. Perhaps she'll even get to enjoy it while it's hot. No cooking, easy cleanup -- surely this is the way to a stay-at-home mom's heart.

6. Take over the evening routine with the kids a few night a week.
Bathing, pajamas, homework, story time, etc. ... jump in there, Dad. Let Mom go paint her toenails or read a book while you wind down the kids for the night. Stacey Robinson, mother of two in Fontana, Calif., says, "When my husband helps out in the evenings, it lets me know that he remembers I've been working all day, too. We're both tired, of course, but his effort is priceless."

7. Leave her a note of encouragement by the coffeepot in the morning.
Start Mom's day out the right way by giving her heart a few words of encouragement. No fancy poetry or Shakespearean prose is required -- just words of support and love. This will help Mom know that her job is remembered and appreciated.

Want to hear a stay-at-home mom's dream? Taunya Sweeney, mother of three in Chino Hills, Calif., shares hers: "I would love to just spend the night alone in a hotel. It's my fantasy to be off-duty for the night and relax alone without interruption. The next day, say around noon, I would report back to my husband and kids!"
